BOOKINGS

To secure a date, a signed contract is required with a 30% deposit due at the time of signing. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event that the contracted Makeup Artist is unable to perform the services agreed upon due to an emergency, illness, or unexpected occurrence a trusted substitute Makeup Artist will be assigned and informed of the contracted and discussed arrangements or a full refund of the deposit and any monies paid will be given.  All bookings/appointments scheduled to start before 6.00am will incur a surcharge of up to £150.00

BRIDAL TRIAL

Please be aware Bridal Trial appointments will be available from MONDAY to FRIDAY as Zakiyah Shani is fully booked with weddings on most weekends. Weekend appointments are very rare and would need to be discussed with Zakiyah  BEFORE committing to the booking to save any disappointment and you may incur an additional charge.

EXCLUSIVITY

Exclusivity is not guaranteed for the whole day of the event, therefore timings will be seriously considered when agreeing to any booking. It is unlikely that there will be another event on the day; and any second event undertaken by the makeup artist will not affect the first event. If the makeup artist is required to stay at the wedding for any longer than agreed, a waiting fee of £75p/h is applicable.

For International bookings the client will cover all expenses for any forms of transport to the destination i.e. flights, trains etc, accommodation (if required) and any necessary travel whilst abroad. In addition, pickup and drop off to/from the Airport to hotel and to/between wedding locations is required.  All meals must be covered/provided for. An exclusivity fee will be charged for all international bookings, following consultation.

PAYMENT

Deposits can be paid by cash or bank transfer (cheques are not accepted). The final balance is due no earlier than 30 days prior to the wedding date and no later than 7 days prior to the wedding – no exceptions. The person(s) responsible for the entire balance of payment is the person(s) who has signed the bridal contract.

TRAVEL COSTS

UK Travel  - The client will cover any necessary travel expenses of the makeup artist as agreed at time of booking. If personal transport is used, a mileage fee of 50p per mile will be charged for the round trip and where parking or toll/congestion fees may be incurred, the amount will be included with the final bill and due for payment on the day of the wedding. If public transport is used, the fare for the round trip travel will be included in the final bill (e.g. train/tube, bus, coach, taxi fare).

DELAYS

A late fee of £25 will be charged for every 30 minutes of delay when a client is late for the scheduled time, or if scheduled makeup exceeds allotted time because of client delays. Contract will state the times late fees will begin and the amount charged and will be initialled and approved by client.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEED

Makeup will be completed to the client’s satisfaction, but is not to exceed allotted makeup time. Ample time is given for each makeup upon booking. Acceptance of completed makeup application by client is acknowledgement by client that makeup is done to his/her satisfaction.

SERVICE LOCATION & REQUIREMENTS

Location of applications for the day of the event will be at the discretion of the client, but there are certain requirements the makeup artist needs to complete the makeup applications. A set-up table/work area needs to be made available for the makeup artist at said location. Ample lighting, whether by means of natural light or by lamps, is necessary for services to be performed properly.

LIABILITY 

All brushes and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitised between every makeup application. Any skin condition or allergies that may affect the use of any equipment or products should be reported by the client to the makeup artist prior to application and, if need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction. Client(s) agree to release the makeup artist Zakiyah Shani from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.

CANCELLATION POLICY

The client can cancel a trial at any point however a trial cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged for at the agreed rate. Wedding day cancellations must be made no less than 28 days prior to your reserved date or you will be responsible for the full payment for the amount of services agreed upon in this contract. The makeup artist will be under no obligation to refund any money paid up until the point of cancellation, however the client will not be liable for any further payments.

PHOTOGRAPHY 

The client agrees that the makeup artist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the makeup artists’ website and social media pages unless stated otherwise.

INSURANCE

Bridal clients are strongly advised to take out full wedding insurance to cover all circumstances. Zakiyah Shani holds her own public liability insurance.

All make-up services for special occasions, photoshoots or wedding guests require a 30% deposit to secure a booking.  The balance is due no later than 24hrs ahead of the scheduled appointment.

The deposit is non-refundable and can only be transferred once if the original appointmeny has to be rescheduled. Please be advised, dates and scheduled makeup times will only be reserved when a deposit is received.

A start and end time will be agreed by client and Zakiyah Shani Make Up Artist. Each makeup requires a certain length of time to be finished, the usual timeframe is between 60 - 90mins hour per person. When reserving your date, book accordingly. Any additional makeup needs outside contract will only be performed at the discretion of the makeup artist. All persons involved in makeup appointments need to be available at the scheduled time of said appointment in order to not break the contract. All makeup for more than one person must be at the same location and consecutive times (no gaps in between).

If your makeup booking is for 5 or more people and there is a need for an assistant, an assistant will be charged at an additional rate to cover their makeup fees.
